Ivann Cruz

Ivann Cruz (electric guitar) plays solo by choosing improvisation as a starting point for his performances. In his improvisations he enjoys mixing freely various languages (jazz, rock, noise, minimalism, electronic music, pop ...) while privileging a work on timbre and sound space. He seeks to develop games of perspective between more or less controlled instrumental gestures while retaining the mastery of a formal construction with an assumed taste for rupture.

For this, he develops on the electric guitar a technique of play where the feet, manipulating a device of effects pedals, become inseparable from the hands and allow him to act in real time on the material sound.
