Born in 1960, he studies music theory and clarinet then guitar in self-taught. At the end of the 70s, he discovers improvised music and free-jazz, as well as prepared guitar. His musical influences go from blues to folk songs including rock-n’ roll, free-jazz and contemporary music, from Jimi Hendrix to Frank Zappa, from Fred Frith to Derek Bailey … 1998 is the birthyear of the C.R.I.M.E. (Regional Center of Improvisation and Experimental Musics) : he takes part in projects in Brussels (BE) and Lille (FR), of which La Pieuvre. Since the creation of the collective Muzzix, he plays solos and in the Grand Orchestre de Muzzix and within various projects, with acoustic or electric guitar. He also uses electronics, amplis in a loop, systems based on the feedback. and composes also des pieces for the collective
He played with Olivier Benoît, Eugene Chadbourne, Jean-Marc Montera, Tony Oxley, Edward Perraud, Roger Turner, Michel Doneda et Daunik Lazro.
In parallel, he develops an activity of silver halide in black and white photography.
His main subject is music concerts, which are organized by the collective Muzzix. He uses a particular technic of camera movements, keeping in mind the music played.
The project “Photographies à entendre”, whose principle is to collect sound proposals corresponding to the photographs in concert, and progressively including them in an installation (projection and wiring for sound), was presented to the Gare Saint-Sauveur (Lille, France) in 2010 and under an interactive form to the Maison FOlie Lille Moulins in 2011 (on this occasion, passage in the broadcast "Tapage nocturne" on France-Music).
The project “Philographies”, which associates the projection of a photography with the recorded comments of the author, was presented to the malterie (Lille, France) in March 2017.
